'Collected Women' Group Exhibition Wollongong City Gallery - Integral Energy Gallery

Cnr Kembla and Burelli Streets, Wollongong

Wollongong City gallery is showing works from their collection by women artists who share a connection with the Illawarra region. The exhibition opened on International Women's Day, Thursday 8th March displaying works including paintings, prints, textiles, sculpture and photography spanning 150 years of art making by women who are from or inspired by the Illawarra. Two of Pamela's etchings are displayed, and another group are on permanent display in the adjacent Council Chambers.

Pamela Griffith - Unveiling of Painting
'Memorare of the Snow' (see "Current Work" page)

This major work will be presented to the School Assembly at St Gregory's College, Campbelltown on June 13th. Pamela will give an address to the assembly, describing her research for the project, and explaining her development of the painting with slides of the work in progress.

This will be a fast moving workshop where a number of drawings will be produced using different approaches, to encompass various styles employed by masters of drawing. life drawing is a joyful experience and a way of greatly improving your artistic skills as vit is the basis for good art practice.
